Dear parents,
We are fundraising for Youthline this Wednesday, students are invited to bring a gold coin so they can wear mufti for the day. They're invited to wear something silly, funny or something that makes them happy.
The prefect team has also organized a fun game on Wednesday. Students may participate in a game called Poisson d’Avril. The point of this game is to spread joy to others through surprise acts of kindness and show how we can make a positive difference to someone's day.
So, remind them to bring a gold coin and smiles on their faces for Wednesday. ????
Yours truly,
Adena Green

To Parents and Caregivers of all LC5 students who are not leaders
Just a reminder that your child will be travelling to Palmerston North tomorrow to go to the Central Districts Field Days.
Jonny Max will be taking the students over in the van as I have other commitments that have come up which means that I cannot take them.
They will need to dress appropriate to the environment. We are not forecast for rain now, which is good, but please be aware that with the weather forecast for today, and many many people being there, there is a chance that the ground could get muddy. Gumboots would be preferable and a tidy dress code. A pair of shoes to wear home just in case the gumboots are dirty, then it saves the van getting dirt trampled all through it.
Students will need to bring:
Cell phones and give their number to Mr Max so they can be contacted if need be
A backpack, school bag is fine as they will need to carry a few things
A light jacket
A spare pair of shoes
Money if they want to buy food as well
A drink or the ability to buy one
A pen
A smile
This is a fantastic opportunity, and I hope that all the students will have a fabulous day and enjoy all that Field Days has to offer.
Van will be leaving school at 9.30 and arriving home before 3 pm for the school buses.
If you have any questions, please contact me at the school.
Regards
Ranier Arnold
